The development of organic agriculture in China has unique advantages in natural resources and provides a wide range of choices for the production of organic food. Distribution of Organic Food Market in Global States
The global organic food market is mainly concentrated in North America and Europe. According to the 2008 SOEL-FIBL survey, organic food sales in these two regions account for 97% of global organic food sales, of which Germany is the largest market in Europe, followed by France, Britain, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Denmark and Italy. Switzerland has the highest per capita consumption of organic food in Europe, with an average annual consumption of more than 100 euros per person for organic food.
Asia, Latin America and Oceania are important producers and exporters of organic farm foods. In Asia, demand for organic food is concentrated in wealthy countries and regions such as Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, China and Hong Kong. Japan is the main organic food consumer market in Asia and one of the main destinations for China's organic food exports.
